Compositions by the band's leader Artur Dutkiewicz.
"Prana" in Sanskrit - the oldest language in the world - is the force and energy of life, manifested as enthusiasm, joy and creativity. And that's the music on this album.

Artur Dutkiewicz's compositions are Slavic singing (Polish Mazurka), rhythm and improvisational idiom of contemporary jazz (Prana) as well as calm and meditative phrases (Om Namo Bhagavate). The last piece (Wujek Tomek), which evokes the blues roots of jazz, is dedicated to the memory of the legendary saxophonist - Tomasz Szukalski, with whom the pianist has performed for many years .

The leader's stunning solos and his unconventional management as well as the collaboration of all musicians are a great strength. In my opinion, this is the best pianist trio in his career. I recall (despite the different stylistics) the historical and exemplary trios by Ahmad Jamal for such a line-up.
Artur Dutkiewicz has achieved his own style, a bright musical personality, he is recognizable, what is most important for a jazzman.

Artur Dutkiewicz's trio treated them as jazz standards. They provide an excuse to improvise with modern means of expression.
